Wilderness Wildlife Week in Pigeon Forge

Hey there nature lovers! Next week marks the beginning of the 27th Annual Wilderness Wildlife Week right here in Pigeon Forge. If you just can't get enough of that fresh mountain air, there's no better place to soak it all in than the Great Smoky Mountains. Join us here at the Ramada of Pigeon Forge as we celebrate the natural beauty and wonder of the Tennessee Valley. From Tuesday May 9th through Saturday May 13th, there will be a host of outdoor activities, guided hikes, and classes, and more that will please both the most rugged of outdoor enthusiasts to amateurs and young children alike.

If you're ready to get out and hit the trails, kick off the week on Tuesday with a 4.5 mile moderate hike starting in Little River around noon. Or head out early on Thursday for a morning bird watching safari in Seven Islands State Park Safari. Check out their schedule for a full list of outdoor excursions and find out how to sign up!

There will also be tons of great outdoor-centric classes offered throughout the week, so be sure to take advantage of those! Learn how to a carve your very own hummingbird ornament, or take a history lesson on the women of the Smoky Mountains who practiced weaving inside their homes.

Every class and activity during Wilderness Wildlife Week is totally free, and all are welcome to sign up. Your cozy room and comfy bed at the Ramada will be waiting for you when you get back. Happy trails!
