Outdoor Fun Throughout the Winter in Pigeon Forge

Just because it's wintertime doesn't mean that you can't still have fun in the sun here in the Great Smoky Mountains! It's not rare to enjoy a sunny day with temperatures reaching into the 60s in January and February near Pigeon Forge. Not to mention, you'll find that parks and other outdoor recreation areas are far less crowded in the off months than in the spring and summer! All the wonders of the great outdoors of Appalachia are waiting just beyond your door here at the Ramada of Pigeon Forge.

If you're a more experienced hiker, you can still get out and hit the trails of the Smokies! Nothing else comes close to the serene and peaceful beauty of the mountains in the wintertime. Be sure to keep up with the National Parks Service website to check on conditions and ideal locations for winter trail blazing.

Going to check out the many waterfalls in the Smokies may not be the first thing that comes to your mind when figuring out your vacation plans in Pigeon Forge. You're seriously missing out though, if you don't get a chance to see these incredible waterfalls frozen over during the winter. It's quite a spectacle to be seen, and we bet it'll go over really well on your Instagram!

Get out there and enjoy the fresh mountain air of the wintertime! Be sure to ask our friendly staff here at the Ramada for more recommendations of great places to check out. Happy trails!
